Dr. Alemu Beeftu, founder and president of Gospel of Glory’s ministry, was born on an isolated farm in central Ethiopia. As the youngest of 10 children, Alemu was expected to spend his life on the family farm. But he was so desperate to learn how to read and write that he ran away to a missionary school at around age 12. Once there, he not only learned literacy but also found a Savior in Jesus Christ. Alemu’s personal experience as one without easy access to written resources led him to pursue education with a passion. As the Communist persecution of the church intensified, friends and mentors begged Alemu to become a student abroad. He culminated his education with degrees from Biola University and Michigan State University, where he holds both masters and doctoral degrees in Curriculum Design and Community Development. While at Michigan State, Alemu served as Assistant Professor in Adult & Lifelong Education. Nearly 20 years on the international field (including a decade as the Christian Leadership Development Specialist for Compassion International) also intensified Alemu’s personal passion for, and understanding of, his work through Gospel of Glory. Dr.Badeg Bekele has been a Pastor of Amanuel Ethiopian Church in California, USA. Evangelist Gebru Woldu was born in 1966 in Ethiopia and accepted Christ Jesus in 1983. He grew up in Keste Berhan Aba Selama Boarding home in Mekelle City. Gebru Woldu graduated from Addis Ababa University in 1986 with major in physics and minor in Geology. Until his call for full time ministry to serve the Lord, he had been working in geological survey, Natural Oil & Gas exploration company and other non governmental organization as mining, petroleum and hydro Geophysicist respectively. Since 1992 when he began full time to serve the Lord, in addition to his local ministries, he has been ministering to different nations and nationalities in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and Australia. Evangelist Gebru ministers in preaching, teaching and conducting evangelistic crusades. The Lord confirms His word through signs and healing in his ministry. Besides, he ministers in four radio stations and one TV station. He is the author of "Gifts of the Spirit and their usage" in English, "Victory over all demonic powers" and "Passport to heaven" in Amharic. The vision of Open Heaven International Evangelistic Ministry was given to him by the Lord in 1990 to facilitate his service in spreading the Word of God all over the world. Gebru is married to Konjit Gashaw on July 21, 1996. They have two children a son Eyasu (Jash) and a daughter Mikeds (Rowna).
